What is "SWIG?"
SWIG stands for "Statewide Internet Group" and is a user group of the West Virginia Information Technology Council (ITC).
SWIG is a group of state government Web developers and Web administrators and has worked to establish guidelines on web design and acceptable use. We routinely discuss issues regarding Web development and policy in our meetings as well as on our active listserv.
Membership is open to all who work for and with state agencies, K-12, higher education. Organizations are invited to send representatives to our meetings, which are held quarterly (October, January, April and July) on the third Wednesday in Charleston and Morgantown (videoconference).
The state of West Virginia's official state page at http://www.wv.gov/ contains an index of all WV state government web sites. If your agency's site is not listed, please contact The Office of Technology or call 304-558-8803 to add a link from the state index to your site.
